School Meals Menu

Please be aware that there may be changes to some of this information as a result of Government guidance relating to Covid-19.

If you would like your child to have a hot meal, please ensure that you logon to Biostore and place your orders by no later than Thursday, for the following week’s lunches.  Before placing the order you will need to have paid money onto your SIMS Pay / Agora account.

If meals are not ordered online by the Thursday deadline, you will need to bring a packed lunch in for your child.  The kitchen cannot provide meals for those that have not ordered as this impacts on their supply ordering and there will be a real danger of not having enough prepared food available to feed your child.

If you have a problem setting up then please come in to our school reception and make an appointment to see either Mrs Thacker or Mrs Hill and they will be able to assist you.

Please ensure that you have ordered your child’s school lunches for the week following half terms and holidays, by the cut-off dates listed below.

Autumn term starting Monday 7th September 2020 – Orders to be placed no later than Thursday 3rd September 2020.

Although all children in infant classes (reception, year 1 or year 2) will receive a free lunch meal, it is still important that you apply if you might be eligible.  This is because, if your child is eligible, the school will receive £1,320 (2018-19) per pupil which is used to support the education of all pupils from lower-income families, to ensure that they get the same chances as other children.  This can add up a lot of additional funding to a school and can be used to really help all children to achieve well as they grow older.

To be eligible you must be in receipt of one of the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Child Tax Credit, provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual taxable income that does not exceed £16,190
  • Income-Based Job Seekers’ Allowance
  • Employment Support Allowance (Income Related)
  • Guaranteed Element of State Pension Credit
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

BCP Council request that parents go on line free school meal eligibility checking and to complete the electronic application form.  The online application can be found at this address, where there is an ‘Apply Now’ button prominently displayed on the page.  A search of ‘free school meals Christchurch’ from any search engine brings the correct page to the top of the searches too.

If you would like some assistant with making your application online, please contact Mrs J Hill who will be happy to help you.
