Thank you for coming to look at our blog! Somerford Primary Community school is an exciting and fun place to learn and we hope that if you are able, you will come and visit us to see for youself all the great things that our children get up to. Although at our core we are a primary school for children aged 4 to 11, we are very much a community serving school and onsite there is also a childcare provision, Little Explorers, as well as a Children’s Centre.
In December 2009 we were inspected by OFSTED and their central judgement was that ‘the school provides a good education.’ Additionally they added that ‘pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, achieve well and some make rapid progress.’ The final quote we would like to draw your attention to is ‘Not only is there a strong focus on pupils’ academic achievement, the quality of care, guidance and support that pupils receive is outstanding’.
